How to repair marelon seacock leaking handle ?

wondering if anyone has an easy in water fix for a leaking handle on a marelon ball valve?

Closing the seacock and packing the o-ring area with waterproof grease or lanolin will work for awhile, but eventually you will need to replace it. Be careful not to strip the screw that holds the handle on, it is a wek point of this design, assuming you have the usual forespar type.
