Town of Fort Myers Beach, FL - Official Website - Matanzas Pass Mooring Field

Really great place.

Can walk just a bit and catch a bus to groceries, propane etc.

Re: Help! This Girl Needs A Shower!

My wife & I sailed all last summer off the west coast. Used a solor shower when not at a marina, works, but not the same as home. The wife also has very long hair, but made it work. Good luck. We will be in your part of the world next year, if you see our boat, give a shout, barbie & drinks on us. Good sailing...Michael & Brenda..

Re: Help! This Girl Needs A Shower!

Why do you need a shower when you're only away for a weekend :-)

I'm about to go on a two week trips, and the skipper warned against bringing to many changes of clothes. In my experience the only time you really feel the need for a shower and clean clothes is when you come ashore again. And marinas have showers.

The only other time I absolutely need a shower is after a swim. My skin doesn't like it a lot if I let salt water dry on it, but when it's warm enough to swim, it is also warm enough to shower on the swim step. So no problem there.
I've never taken a shower in the heads. I could only imagine showering inside if the shower was completely separate of the heads.

Re: Help! This Girl Needs A Shower!

Don't use a typical of the shelf weed sprayer, there are several companies making purpose built adaptations that wuold be just what you are looking for. Black tanks for solar heating larger capacity of water and a much better shower head than a weed sprayer would provide.
