HELP! My Toilet Pump Stopped Working

From reading the forums it seems it's not a good idea to use toilet paper as I have been. I checked the electrical and the pump is getting power but it seems like it's stuck.
How do I fix it?
Needless to say this is an urgent request.

most electric motors have a spot on the back to put an Allenwrench to turn it over when this happens. Trust me your not the first person to jam a pump with TP.

We had a guest a while back and they created a plug where the pump was tripping the breaker. i picked up some of the RV packets it was the orange stuff at walmart that help everything to disolve more rapdidly. Everything was working great the next day, other than dismanteling thats my neatest fix (pardond the pun) on an easy fix i picked ours up at a walmart but i am sure anyplace that deals with porta potties will have something similiar.

I found no spot for an allen wrench on the motor

Hmmm, at least it isn't a Blake spewing sewage in your face as you pump! Look at the bright side. There's always the bucket for the emergency! Many of us have been there, don't feel alone.
(Another good reason for a composting head. They can't plug.)

I love how they say "high speed, non-clogging"! Yeah, right.

Some of these motors have slots on the back where, if you can reach it, a flat head driver can turn it. Otherwise, I'm afraid that you're looking at pulling it apart and unclogging it the hard way.

While it is expensive toilet paper, we decided a long time ago to only use the Marine/RV paper. You can often get it at Walmart for fairly cheap and we've stocked up when West Marine has it on sale every now and then. Costs more, but the stuff really does dissolve quite quickly. That, and educating our guests to not use more than 3 sheets at a time (and nothing else in the toilet) has kept our clogs down to nothing.

We've always used Scott's 1ply, except for one 4pk of the expensive stuff. Scott's does also dissolves very quickly, and we've never had a clog in 5yrs

Quick question; if I reverse the wires on the motor, will it run backwards and maybe free the pump?

Yes, I done that with mine, run it backward for less than a second, but close the intake first.
