Groco K Series Head Missing!

We sent our K series head to Groco for repair and all that arrived was the box! Yes we have LOST OUR HEAD!

Does anyone know of a used K series or KH series Groco pump assembly anywhere...we need everything except the bowl!

Re: Groco K Series Head Missing!

Have you contacted Groco to find out whether the box could have accidentally been shipped before the pump went into it? If it was stolen in transit, there'd have to be some evidence that the box had been opened and resealed.

Even if it was stolen, they're your best source for a replacement...they're good people and will bend over backward to help you instead of just charging you full price for a new pump.

The up-side is that someone other than you knows a damn good piece of gear when he sees it.
My KH is 20 + yrs old and has only required the woodruff key and joker replaced.
Good luck with the search.

I need to amend my advice: First, report the loss to Groco AND UPS (or whoever the shipper was)...up to $100 loss/damage insurance is always included in shipping charges...Groco may have purchased addition insurance, but prob'ly not. You'll have to fill out and submit a claim form. Hopefully you were smart enough to save the box, 'cuz UPS or whomever will want to inspect it for signs of tampering. The weight should be on the shipping label...that should be a big clue as to whether the pump was in the box when it left Groco.

Re: Groco K Series Head Missing!

Did the head go missing on the way to Groco or on the way back to you?
If Groco was shipping the repaired toilet to you I'm sure they'll make it good.

I was able to get some Groco Model K stuff from these guys. Very nice to deal with.

Re: Groco K Series Head Missing!

Thanks for all your thoughts. The head went missing on the way to Groco USPS Priority mail. I have $50 insurance. Greco have been very helpful putting me in contact with consignment places but I think I will bite the bullet and get a new pump assembly. Have considered a new type of head for less $$$ but I don't want the hassle of a new footprint and I like the Groco a lot. Seems solid and reliable.

Re: Groco K Series Head Missing!

I would love the chance to quote you on the pump assembly.
If you're interested, send me a PM, let me know where it would need to be shipped and I'd be glad to give you my best price.
