Surely that is not a problem for all boats, any more than a big freezer or making lots of water?

An LFP bank and high-amp dino juice charge source would only be limited by the fuel tankage.

You are right. Not all boats at all.

We have a Spectra 200C watermaker and no freezer. Usually our solar and 450 AH lead acid bank covers us (though we are going to LFP this year). We avoid generators as do many of the boats we met along the way. Seems inefficient to run a genset burning diesel to make electricity to run a heater burning diesel to blow hot air around the boat.
Cheers,
Bruce
