Force 10 oven flame out.

I have a brand new force 10 stove/oven. The oven flame does not stay on. My friend has the same problem. is there something I should know about a new Force 10?

Re: Force 10 oven flame out.

Are you holding in the knob for ~5 to 10 seconds after it is lit to force the flame to remain on? The burners have a thermocouple shut off that closes the gas off when cool. The coupler needs to heat up for a few seconds so it will stay open.

Re: Force 10 oven flame out.

We have inherited a Force 10 oven and have had difficulty keeping it lit also. My wife found a manual online that said you have to hold in the oven knob for 20 seconds, which is about 4 times longer than we have to hold in the burner knobs. Seems to work though!

Is the pilot staying on? I don't have a force 10 by on my princess stove the burner would shut off when the oven reached the set temp, the pilot would stay on then the burner would reignite as the temp dropped below the setpoint.
