Engine-Driven Fridge Setup

I recently repowered with a Yanmar 75hp 4JH4TE .I now want to re-connect my engine driven fridge which runs off a lay shaft .My question is .My old motor turned in the opposite direction to the Yanmar, will this have an effect when i reconnect the fridge as i would imagine the compressor will now be turning the opposite way.

Appreciate any help from you fridge exsperts.

I think it depends on the compressor. The sanden type can run in either direction, so if you have one of them then Bob's yer uncle.
