Muskoka,
See Lavac there then. You can still have a macerator from the holding tank if you want to be fully complying but i've had enough fun to think I will resist putting one back on. I use a couple of Jabsco "Y" valves to allow the diaphram pump to do it all. Life is better for doing it this way!!

Bill,

Thats an interesting idea.

A nice quiet diaphram pump to fill the holding tank, then the noisy macerator to empty it. That makes sense as the macerator will only be run occasionally when not in port/anchor and when the crew are awake anyway.

Thanks for the tips!!

Just last week I converted the aft toilet from the original manual head to a Tecma silence plus. Had heard nothing but good things about them and now after trying them all I hear is a satisfying…whoooosh!

Built very well!

The Fwd is still manual

We also put in a Tecma Silence head a few months ago and it is great! Very quite and well built. I believe it is one of the few (if not the only) macerating toilet that will pump uphill so it seems pretty much impossible to clog.
Definately worth checking out in my opinion.
