Re: Electrasan or holding tank ???

I love the Electro Scan. Unfortunately there are no discharge zones in the Florida keys so you would need some type of holding tank if you plan to go there.
The Raritan Hold and Treat system addresses this problem.
Raritan Engineering | Waste Treatment | Hold n' Treat

Re: Electrasan or holding tank ???

That would probably make the authorities happy. You could also lock the seacock closed on that head. If you have a way to empty the holding tank overboard be sure to lock that seacock as well.

Peg Halls company was involved in marine sanitation systems and the she sold the company and is now retired. She knows everything about crap and where you can put it and where you can't. She used to give lectures and seminars on the subject. Anybody else's comments are just........crap unless they agree with her. Research her posts here.

Re: Electrasan or holding tank ???

You can have both and have the best of both worlds. When you are in a no discharge zone, store it. When you are not put your Y-valve the other way and treat it.

Re: Electrasan or holding tank ???

If you end up buying a new tank, these are the guys to buy it from: Ronco Plastics - Marine Water Tanks, RV Water Tank, Auto Detail Tanks, Water Tanks
They have hundreds of sizes and shapes, they are very good quality, and they will install the fittings where ever you want them.
