Dent in the evaporatoir plate...

Have a small dent in about 6 inches from the little tube (Gas one - don't know much about what is in or out but I think it's the gas one i.e. out) opening on an evaporator plate. I wanted to put it into service for a beer fridge.

Condenser cycles frequently when turned on and it starts to get cold.. COldest on the last 6 inches of the dented tube...

Evaporator plate is toast, right?

Can I apply another evaporator plate to the compressor?

Worth it? Old system....
