I am replacing skin fittings and valves on my
Lagoon, and have not decided what to do with the fridge drain.
Why would there be a dedicated 3/4" skin fitting and valve mounted just below the waterline just so a fridge can drain? The
Lagoon owners manual does show it in their diagram, so it's not an aftermarket idea. Surely, in most circumstances the flow from a fridge would only be very small.
So, I'm thinking of fibregalssing that hole and just draining the fridge into the
bilge. If I decide to wash out the fridge or something I can always divert the outflow to a container while I do the job.
It would be easier just to replace the fittings, and I already have them, but once less hole is attractive.
Opinions?
