Cruiseair drips

I have the large carry on 6750 btu. Purchased second hand at about 1/2 cost. I could turn the v-berth into a refrig but thats another tread.

The problem is an occassional drip. It seems to come from the area where the return filter is located. The filter is a piece of fine metal screen? I was thinking perhaps the PO lost the orginal filter and southern engineered the thing.

I have requested information from the manufacture to no avail.

The question is the filter OEM?

ALL Air Conditioners produce condensate.

From the Cruisair Carry-On operating Instructions at:
http://www.cruisair.com/sheets/L-0676.pdf
or
http://www.cruisair.com/sheets/L-2245.pdf

5. A condensate drain is located under the unit (See Figure 4) in a position such that water removed from the air isallowed to drain onto the deck. Should you desire to drain this water to another area, a 3/8" I.D. (See Figure 4) hose fits the condensate drain.
NOTE: The hose must be routed downhill continually with no "up" loops or air traps.
