CoolSaver Marine and RV Refrigeration Controllers

Has anyone tried the Coolsaver refrigeration controller? See link below:

CoolSaver - Marine and RV Refrigeration Controller

I would be interested in how this performs if anyone out there has done any back to back testing on amp hour consumption. Its not cheap, but thinking of spending the money..

Thanks,
Michael

Nice control if it is reliable enough for true marine use. It turns refrigerator thermostat colder when a charging source produces more energy than batteries can store, they say it cuts back on compressor’s speed to balance compressor’s capacity to actual evaporator design capacity and does all this for only $359. I believe the return on investment page is typical creative advertising. It is reported to have an advantage over other electronic thermostats in that when it fails a manual thermostat will keep unit running.
