Cleaning galvanized water tanks

Hello all,

I have a 1941 wooden boat with galvanized water tanks. The tanks were installed in the 80's and seem to have a growth or slime in them. They are not accessible for the most part and have no inspection ports, is there any good way to clean them? Most info I have found deals with plastic, aluminum and SS, not galvanized.

Thanks for the help and info!
