I had one just like it on my Hans Christian. Actually, I had two. One was for the pumpout of the
holding tank and the other was for the
emergency manual
bilge pump. I rebuilt both while I had the Hans Christian.
I was told that these pumps were built in
Taiwan by duplicating big Whales pumps. Sure enough, I was able to get
rebuild kits that were nearly identical to the original
parts. I took one apart and measured the
diaphragm and ordered the kit that had one of the same size. It turned out that the other parts fitted as well.
Caution - We nearly
lost our
boat when one of the diaphragms split. We were healed over for a long time and the through
hull seacock was not closed.
Water came in through the pump for a long time before I discovered the problem. After that, I made sure that the seacock was closed. Getting the new
diaphragm in the
Bahamas was not easy.
These brass pumps will last forever if you can get the parts. On mine, there were no identifying model numbers.
