At 30 GPH you are looking at a AC unit, requiring a generator or a
engine mounted model. Yes you can make water faster, but the cost to
purchase the unit is usually significantly higher
You can get 12v models that will produce up to 18-20 gallons per hour. With the 12v (or 24v) models you have a little redundancy, if the gen set breaks down you can still operate the
water maker.
Also 30 GPH is a lot of water... We have two fresh water toilets and still use less than 150 gallons a week on our boat for two people.
What are you planning on doing with a that water?
