base of head leaking a little

my 10+year head works alright, but it is leaking a little at the base, with some blue salt deposit forming and the base is a little wet. has been so for some time now. should this be a cause for major worry? what causes it and what is a low-cost remedy? thanks! yzlian

Install a new gasket. In the heat it'll start to smell.

Where is it leaking...where the bowl mounts onto the base? Or is the pump or base leaking onto the sole? What's the make/model/age of your toilet?
