Banned from www.kollmann-marine.com

When I attempt to access the marine refrigeration forum site at www.kollmann-marine.com, I get a message saying that I am banned. It goes on to say that I should contact the administrator, but the system won't even allow me to do that.

Is this happening to everyone else or I am just special because something I posted?

No problem getting into the forum.

Did you just sign up..?
Perhaps the owner needs to approve you before you
can become "active"?

We have a hard enough time keeping this site giong much less troubleshooting other sites but...

There is a flashing link at the bottom left that says "Questions? Comments? Send Email"

Try that one...

(BTW - I am also apparently banned from that site... Could be a security setup in their software)

I promised those of you who bought my books on boat refrigeration that I would assist anyone that needed help with their refrigeration problems to contact me for help. After five books trying to keep up with industry changes and thousands of copies I rely on my web site and Forum to post updated revisions. There will be no more new editions to my books but I will still offer my assistance as I promised as long as I can. There are hundreds of boat refrigeration problems and solutions on my forum. If you cannot find answer there post your question or email me. I know there are times when forum is overloaded and access is denied do to spam overload. There are up to 800 spam IP address rejected a day and still forum seems to handle hundred of hits per day. If you have a question on boat refrigeration email me at Richard@kollmann-marine.com

I have received more mail this year than ever before from boaters about 12 volt refrigeration problems. In the last month at least ten emails report units that would not run and after so called technician check refrigerant they suggested replacing unit with a new one and left. After some of these units were repaired with simple electrical fixes they performed poorly because of too much refrigerant or contaminated refrigerant. One thing to remember is if your Adler Barbour or similar 12 volt refrigeration unit’s Danfoss compressor will not run this has nothing to do with refrigerant unless someone has tampered with refrigerant. If a Danfoss BD compressor will not start and run it is an electrical problem that can easily be corrected by boat’s captain and there is no need for an expensive service call. If you tried the troubleshooting in my books or need updated information I will send it. If you believe the Danfoss BD electronic module is bad I will test it at no charge except for return postage.

I got the book a couple of years ago. It was well worth the money. I'd like to see the updates published on the web site to be incorporated in the next edition of the book.
