Adding an Electro Scan to a holding tank

I want to add an Electro Scan unit to an existing holding tank, but am unsure if I will need any additional controls?

The Electro Scan normally has a treatment cycle every flush of the head, but in a Hold n'treat configuration, or in my case adding an Electro Scan unit, what triggers the next batch into the treatment cycle?
