AB - VD-150 - Verticube Ice Tray Removal?

RE: Adler Barbour - VD-150 Evaporator
Has anyone installed this Evaporator? If so, do you use the Verticube ice trays?

or Have you removed (can they be removed& not used) / never installed the Verticube tray arrangements?

Thinking if Installing the Unit on it's side..(side access).....rather than horizontally (front access) or vertically (top access)

Thanks in advance for response

Re: AB - VD-150 - Verticube Ice Tray Removal?

Update: Visited a boat this afternoon that had the Unit mounted Vertically (opening on top) and yes, the Verticube arrangement can be easily removed.

Still wondering if anyone has it mounted sideways.
