1 x 4” x 40” vs. 2 x 2” x 40” membrane

All,

I have noticed that watermaker membranes come in sizes up to 8” diameter. I have seen that Dow makes several 4” membranes that make 2400 GPD at what appears to be much lower PSI (300?)

We have what I think is a 1.5 HP AC watermaker high pressure motor and I’m wondering if I can swap out our two 2” membranes running at 800 PSI for a single 4” membrane to produce a much higher output per hour....

Thoughts?
