volvo 120 s sail drive cracked hub

we have a 120 s sail drive on a MD11D engine with a 2 blade folding prop - the hub ( the part onto which the prop blades attach ) is cracked and looking like it has seen better days ....

i have a feeling this might mean you have to replace both the hub and buy new prop blades ...

is it possible to just buy a new hub ??

Find out what prop manufacturer it is and contact them. If the blades are good should save some money unless its a volvo part.

If it is a Volvo prop, you can buy just the hub. It is expensive.

The hubs are very thick bronze - don't know how it cracked. If it is that old, inspect the prop teeth for wear. You may just want a complete new prop. They are expensive.
