US Microwave on 120v 50Hz

Anyone have any first person experience doing what tile suggests? Will it work or halt, catch fire, crash & burn?

Re: US Microwave on 120v 50Hz

It will sound funny but work fine, maybe be a little slow.
I took ours to Germany as a Soldier in the mid 90's and ran it off of a transformer. It worked fine using it every day for three years.

By funny sounding I mean the buzz they make, it will buzz, but slower, I assume due to the Hz difference

The clock and any cooking time will be off. About 10 seconds a minute.
