reverse thread?

I am having a problem removing the nut on the end of the prop shaft. The nut on the engine-end that holds the coupling on. Is there any chance this is a reverse thread nut? Has anyone any experience with that?

2002 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35.

Very doubtful... What powerplant do you have???

One big clue would be engine rotation... If rotation would "tend to tighten" the nut on a normal right handed thread... i.e CCW from the rear... No way would they cut it left handed... The reverse is a possibility...

(edit: I think I mean CW??? crap too early! LHS of cars drive lines are sometimes LHT, and lug nuts used to be LHT before the 60's)

I did get the nut off eventually. It was a normal left-losey type of nut. It was all about stabilizing the shaft before cranking the nut.
