Recognize this shaft seal?

Below is a picture of my shaft seal. I'm a bit confused how to maintain this. Don't think it would have packing, as there is no way to change or adjust it. The red arrow points to a grease nipple. So far I have added marine grease every now and then to it and it have had no problems (had the boat for 2 years). Always added so much that excess starts to escape.

Now, doing spring maintenance, I have pumped a lot of grease without any starting to ooze back out. At the same time I noticed the shaft outside the boat is oily. I'm starting to wonder if I have ruined the seal and if the stern gasket is blown... I know that the standard dripless systems use oil in a reservoir to fill the seal, but this has a standard grease nipple and no reservoir attached.

If anyone recognizes this type and can point to me how it should be maintained, I would be grateful. The boat is still on the hard, hope to splash in the next week or so.

You've possibly over greased the sealing box, as you push more grease into it it has to go somewhere.
This is also how water is kept out, repeated packing.
When your in the water, some grease washes out of the sealing box pushing water out and surrounding the shaft with lubricant.

Boatyarddog, belated thanks for your help! Splashed the boat Saturday and took her to home marina, about 6nm. All seems to be in order; no leaks or excess heat from the stuffing box.
