QL Bow Thruster anode

Can anyone familiar with the QL bow thruster take a look at the attached picture please and let me know their thoughts?
The anode is (I think) the lump sticking off the back of the housing between the two props and is visible in the picture below. Problem is that I don’t know how big the anode would have been when it was new so I can’t tell how much of the anode is left and so whether it needs replacing. Just from the photo, it looks to me as if quite a lot of it is still left but if anyone knows how big the anode would have been when new, what do you reckon?
The reason I’m not just simply replacing the anode anyway is because those pins and allen nuts that hold the prop on look like they would be a real pig to get off and back on so I’d leave it for another season if it looks like the anode is still fairly intact.
For when I do need to do the job, would it be right that only one of the props needs to come off in order to get at the old anode and fit the new one?
Also, is it usual to paint the props with anything special or just the same anti foul used on the hull?
Thanks a lot
