Need help identifying this V-drive

Gday all

I am considering purchasing a boat with this V-drive in place. Can anyone pls help identify it for me? The owner doesn't know..:-(

Also...Is the less than perfect paint job a matter of concern?

All help is greatly appreciated...Thanks

Re: Need help identifying this V-drive

Looks like a ZF 45 IV to me.. Never seen one in person but that shape and profile matches up pretty close to the diagram I have seen. This one is probably older so doesn't look exactly alike..

Re: Need help identifying this V-drive

That is a Walter RV attached to a Velvet Drive 1:1.
The reduction ratio is in the V drive. Here is the link to their website The Walter Machine Machine Co., Inc.

Re: Need help identifying this V-drive

Hello

Thanks to your info, I've managed to identify the v-drive as a RV10D from this gif.

Now I must identify the Velvet Drive...Would this picture help?

Thanks again

Re: Need help identifying this V-drive

As I said in an earlier post. This is a Velvet Drive 1:1.
It is possibly a 71C (10-17). You can get some information here http://www.velvetdrive.com/techinfo/V7172/V7172pg1.pdf although the drawing shows the transmission with a reduction ratio at the back whereas yours has the Walter adaption.
