Maxprop grease

Hopeing Fstbttoms will pipe in here.
I want to grease my maxprop. Can't get the recommended grease here in the Seychelles, and can't find any lithium grease.
I have a calcium sulphate based marine grease onboard, can anyone see any reasons why I shouldn't use this?

Cheers Dale.

Re: Maxprop grease

The recommended grease is Lubriplate 130aa which is a waterproof grease also used for military, guns and industrial applications. Is there an armory there?

Re: Maxprop grease

The issue with other types of grease is even "waterproof" ones wash out, leaving the gears unlubricated.

If you end up having to use something else, you might try giving MaxProp a call and see if they have an alternative recommendation.

If you get stuck and need to use something else without recommendation, re-lube often until you know that stays in place.
