Left Handed 1-3/4" prop nut

Seems like no one has or makes a left handed 1-3/4 " prop nut. I had to have my props on my 38' Marine Trader Trawler tuned and in the process the left handed one broke trying to take it off.
Any ideas?

Are you 100% that the nut is a LH thread? my current prop (Morgan OI 41) is left handed but the shaft is a regular RH threaded nut.

Re: Left Handed 1-3/4" prop nut

Our dive boat has a left hand thread 1.5 inch thread. When we needed to replace it, we acquired a stainless one from McMaster-Carr.

We did have to grind out a castle for the cotter pin.

It definitely is a 1 3/4" shaft and it definitely is left handed. I found an engineer in Baltimore who made one after I had to go out and get the stock. All in all a pretty expensive solution.

Ours was a 2 inch shaft with a 1-1/2 inch x 6 left hand nut. The price was about $50.
