Kiwi Prop Lubrication

Just finished my first annual lubrication of one of my two Kiwi Props. They can be lubed in the water, but after some consideration I opted to lube out of the water. While lubing in the water certainly appears feasible, it would also be a PITA and potentially involve losing the 3 very small screws that cover the prop blade grease points.

Also, salt water immersion of any grease gun Ive ever owned would likely dramatically shorten its life.

By contrast, removing the prop underwater is quite easy.

Anyone ever lube one in the water?

Re: Kiwi Prop Lubrication

I have lubed mine underwater but, as you point out, the blade screws are tiny and it's really easy to pop them off and take them topside.
