Feather Stream Prop

I visited the Feather Stream booth at the boat show">Annapolis boat show. When I researched feathering props a few years ago, these guys didn't seem to be around. It looks like high quality at a very reasonable cost. It is a simple design with few parts and no bearings. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? I am looking at a 4 bladed feathering prop for my Bristol 41.1. The evaluation of feathering props listed previously in this forum showed the Feather Stream was comparable in perform to the others.

Re: Feather Stream Prop

Not familiar with this marque, but how can the blades feather without any bearings? Perhaps you mean no ball bearings or low friction bushings are used...

Cheers,

Jim

Re: Feather Stream Prop

Internal gears, blades rotate together, pitch adjustment from outside. Looks to me like a clone of the newer MaxProps.

Do you have a price comparison?

Re: Feather Stream Prop

Three years ago, I got a quote for a 18" 4 blade variprop for $5195 USD. The list price for a 4 blade 18" Feather Stream is $3,150 USD.
