Called today & a kit is $750.00 x 2, much cheaper than a change out.

Marine gears are pretty easy to rebuild. I haven't worked on the smaller stuff that you guys run but the principle and parts will be similar . Just smaller. From my experience Twin Disk gears are good as well as ZF's. I can also agree with a previous poster who suggested running synthetic lube. Mind you I would increase the oil change interval, but oil is cheap.
