I took the ASA 101 course last June in Vermont and I paid about the same price. I think you are safe

That's a fair price. I can tell you that I've taken a couple of classes, and done some weekend charters, with these folks...
Florida Sailing - Florida Sailing School - Florida Sailboat Charter - Team Building, Florida Sailing, Florida Yacht, Bareboat Sailing, Florida Sailing Vacation, Florida, Learn to Sail Florida, Bareboat Charters Florida, Team Building, Sunset Cruises,

Boats are always in good condition, people are always courteous and professional, and I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of instruction received.

Edit: Wow! Long danged link name, considering that the link itself is pretty short. Wish I knew how to change that to something shorter.
