I have been looking at numbers, the way I see it, if the boat is payed off, you don't need that much to "stay afloat", just having family and friends paying a minimum charge already covers the expenses, then getting 10 "paying weeks" in the year and your all set...

I've been doing it for a while now and today getting ten charters is getting more difficult. But maybe I charge to much for the investment I have.. Www.gaitweighsailing.com

I don't know about a show for brokers, but there's an upscale charter boat show held in Antigua in early December every year. Go if you want to see how the "pros" do crewed charters.
