Need captain for lagoon 440 delivery. Miami to Europe!

Hello,

I am looking for a captain who wants to sail our Lagoon440 from Miami to Europe (france, italy, belgium,turkey,...). We would do it normally by ourself but my wife is having a baby in april. We are now in miami but will be returning to belgium in a couple of weeks so it would be nice to see and speak with the cap before we leave. Who has enough experience to do this and give us a quote.

No way am I going that far N... been watching the patterns the last coupla weeks and the set looks good for running ENE from Ft Pierce on a good 2-3 day S'ly window to get well past the Stream then riding the W'ly trend along the edge of the High to Madeira.. duck S if it ripples and hide in the High..

Well, good luck, and I really mean that. How much diesel are you bringing? Any chance you can get a bladder tank and strap it into the cockpit somewhere? I don't know that much about this crossing ocean stuff but I'd think to be safe you are going to have to be fairly far south. Let us know when you leave so we can watch the weather. Also, know for sure that if you are lost at sea I'll be the first one to post "I told him it was crazy to go in February" on the Cruisers Forum

It's a Lagoon. That's basically 2 Beneteaus rafted up. Can you charge double?

I have extensive experience with the lagoon 440 and have crossed the puddle 3 times on similar sized monohulls, but never on the 44' Catamaran. I'm happy to handle this delivery with a hand picked crew of 2 or 3 others of my choosing. We can handle all logistics and Maintenance and would be willing to negotiate a very small delivery fee possibly just paying for our rations and fuel costs. Ahh...missed all the action. That's a quality feed. If any one of you chaps is ever looking for a hand to deliver any boats please be in touch. I'm constantly available as I quit my job in February and ready to rock. I'm looking to sail all year and round up as much experience before I circumnavigate on my own boat in 2015.
