Maltese Schools

Looking for any comments (for or against) sailing schools in Malta.

I came across a list of them via the Maltese Maritime Directory: Sailing Schools - Malta Maritime Directory

We're just outside Naples, IT so planning for a learning/sailing vacation of one, possibly two weeks somewhere in the Med.

I haven't contacted any of them yet, pending someone's experience with any of the companies.

Re: Maltese Schools

We decided to go with Sailing School Malta, and do a Competent Crew cruise as a couple for five days. Just a week to start with so we don't get too ambitious.

Have fun...
The best way to judge your skippers competency is the type of bar he takes you to in the evening..
If its a 'Yot Club'... worry...

Re: Maltese Schools

We ended up going with Sailing School Malta: Sailing School Malta

Found them via Sailing Schools - Malta Maritime Directory

"Stephen" was the only guy that got back to me without using a simple templated response, and actually considered what I had asked.

Christa and I now have our Day Skipper qual and plan to return to get our Coastal Skipper with him as well.

Re: Maltese Schools

Malta is a lovely venue. I sailed there from Gibraltar in 2008 and it was fantastic. Enjoy.
