What kind of boat is this?

The little v-notched boats that move boats in yards.....what is the general name...who builds them?

They have an outboard that moves 360 degrees.

Got a pic? Little aluminum work boats might be Munson, Sea Ark, Kvichak, Workskiff, Tuff Boat, Workstar, Quay Craft, Moose Boats etc. These are the really beefy boats and not the cheapo sheetmetal fishing boats like Klamath or Sears etc.

The outboard is mounted about 2/3 the way back from the bow and rotates thru a hole in the bottom.

Chief,
I have seen plenty of little work boats like what you describe where the whole outboard rotates 360 (like a tractor tug) doing work around the Bay, but darned if I ever noticed who makes them. That manufacturers name probably got beaten and scraped off the hulls years ago...

David

Edit: I just found a boatload (pardon the pun) of links to aluminum work boat manufacturers.
