Re: What cruiser fo the Florida Gulf?

Yes, from all of the helpful information we have received, we have decided on a powercat...
We are currently powercat shopping.

Re: What cruiser fo the Florida Gulf?

Every boat is a compromise and that's why 1 boat is never enough. If I had a million bucks to throw at boats, with shoal draft in mind, I think I'd go for these 2:

46RK | Seaward Yachts
Hinckley Jetboat- T37 MKIII Picnic Boat

If we could afford it, I'd buy a Nordhavn trawler

Disqualified due to draft. If you're thinking trawler how about this one. I went on this boat or a sister ship at a boat show many years ago & it was awesome. If you're not familiar with Covey-Island Boat Works their work is of the highest quality.

Sounds like a great choice. Of course, as the owner of a Leopard powercat in SW Florida I am biased.

Re: What cruiser fo the Florida Gulf?

I lost where you said a cat trawler. Just keep the beam, berth able and the windage reasonable. Many seem to have a to much topsides. A high pilot house with a massive flying bridge.
