I’ve seen pictures I’ll bet it would be interesting to take a trip on this

Thanks for posting this, weavis. Really quite an interesting bit of engineering, and they were canny enow to photograph it on the sunny day!

I'm a bit disappointed that it isn't steam powered... ya know, "tie down the safety valve, Scottie, we've got a big lift coming...

but what a cool looking device!

The motion is wonderfully fluid, the whole thing is a testimony to good engineering. It was a pity the tour boat was so crappy.

Here is a very clean, simple, and open interior design for your perusal, a variant of which may work nicely with the desks, etc, required for your students.

Lovely boat! thank for the video. I considered a wide beam like this just because of the space, unfortunately the width prohibits a lot of the canal network..

so I'm stuck with the 6 foot 10-inch beam.

Some of the design in this can be transferred to the lesser width though.

Thanks again!

Re: Wanted:Bluewater high powered Narrowboat

Up date.

as of January 13th, I had bookings for teaching that equalled £21K. I was in the final stages by February of boat purchasing. Then the seller needed to keep the boat for another month, I agreed and we were going to complete after..

then the world stopped.

My bookings all faded and I didn't want to part with the purchase price until I could actually go the boat and work on it etc. Net result, his delay and circumstances meant, no sale.

I liked the boat but was not in 'love ' with it.... so not too disappointed.

where to now?

We wait.

Re: Wanted:Bluewater high powered Narrowboat

Perhaps someone can make a design which transforms between a narrowboat form, with two hulls in tandem, to a catamaran.

Maybe one of these? I’ve always thought they were pretty clever.

my neighbor has one on his dock (on a lift). It looks like fun, but I haven't sen him out on it in 5 years!

Re: Wanted:Bluewater high powered Narrowboat

Its sad really. My business plan was working well and now........
UK is talking of extending social distancing until 2021 so group teaching is a no no...
Also, overseas visitors will be restricted unless they can prove immunity or effective vaccination and that will take a longish time.

Everything has changed.

Re: Wanted:Bluewater high powered Narrowboat

At the moment, canal cruising is restricted to essential movement only.. food, water, trash waste emptying.

My buddy is moored up next to an ALDI, a waterpoint and emptying point... very quiet, cupboard full of beer and just him and nature..

He loves it.
