Treatment for Swim Platform?

We've had several folks slip on our swim platform recently. I see ads for materials you can purchase to help make that area slip resistant, but I'm not sure which ones would work best. I'd like something that looks good, is functional and keeps the current opening where wave action can be released (i.e. I dont want to cover up those openings on the swim platform).

Any thoughts / experience?
