Tollycraft - anything specific to beware of?

Am going this weekend to look at a 1979 fibreglass 34' Diesel Tollycraft sedan. Other than the thousands of ordinary things to look out for in a used boat, are there any specific items anyone knows to ask about on a Tolly?

Tollycraft has a reputation for high quality boats. I worked on & day-tripped on a late model* 55 footer, which lived up to the earlier reputation.

She’s a nice boat, but I’m not fond of Volvo engines.

* Circa 1992? Tollie Tollefson retired in 1987, and sold the company to an investor group. In 1993 the company filed for bankruptcy, and production stopped. It restarted soon thereafter ,under new management, but closed again in the fall of 1997.

my grandpa had a 36' tolly. very nice boat. built espically for the columbia river bar. which we crossed many times. only had one problem with it. heat exchanger went our and seawater got in the engine. so he got brand new 502 fi engines put in. very nice! then sold it 5 years later

Tolly,s are one of the best for North West waters, had one that had to go on its own during storm in Prince William Sound, did
better on its own then we could have, survived the storm because we were on a Tolly.
