Service Yard Recommendations

Hello - My husband and I are looking for recommendations for service yards to haul our boat, winterize it and store it for the winter season. We have a 42' Bertram with twin Detroit 671's and are currently keeping the boat at Piney Narrows in Kent Island. We're looking for a good price and good service. Does anyone have recommendations for good yards on the Bay? Thank you! Elizabeth

Hello Elizabeth,
Herrington Harbor North is a great yard located in Deale, although I'm not sure about their prices. Also, I think the Kent Narrows Yacht Yard is pretty reasonable. Gingerville Yachting Center located on the South River boasts that they have the lowest prices around. It may be worth checking with them. Hope this helps.

Service Yard Recommendations

I can, from experience, highly recommend Hartge in Galesville, Md. They are top of the line

Herrington Harbour North at the North end of Herring Bay probably pulls and stores more boats than anyone on the Bay. Don't know about their prices but do know that due to their high volume they know how to haul and block boats . And because they have a large "yard crew" they will check your stands and look after your (baby) in your absence.
