Question about seakeeping ability

Goes to show that those of us who have never been in that area and assuming that trolling northerly would not be an issue along a coastline. My "adopted type" daughter just came back to Queens Island from a cruise and from the picture it seemed like the northern pacific was pretty smooth with some chop, but nothing like that described here.....makes me thing twice about others suggesting experienced hands on deck!
