Need Help to Identify Fishing Boat

Hi there,

I found a fishing boat in a workshop and we try to figure out the make/model. And no, there is no hull number nor any other plate on it. Any idea is mostly welcome!
Thanks Marco

Re: Need help to identify Fishing boat

Or a boat that was wrecked by superstorm Sandy, and sold as salvage (therefore no hull numbers)

Re: Need help to identify Fishing boat

The HIN cannot be erased by a storm, so unless someone cut out the transom and replaced it, the HIN will be there.

Thanks guys,

The boat is currently in the Middle East :-) which means nothing, except it's probably not a local build as the form factor over here is, how to say this nice, is much more simpler. A lot of boats here (mostly motor boats) are imported from all over due the cheap fuel here. So we assume it came here some years back before it became the current refit.

The owner thinks it's either US build while another believes its a Spanish or Italian model. It's aprox. 23 feet long. Not much more info....

Re: Need Help to Identify Fishing Boat

Sorry I couldn't be more help swisscraft, usually the HIN is on the transom. It is a requirement for USA commercially built vessels, however it might have been a limited run by someone trying to start up a company and they went belly up before they actually went into production for sale, possibly a proto type. Or built somewhere else. It looks like a nice enough boat, but I can't offer anymore help with regards to identifying it, there are so many of that type of boat out there.
