My First Boat

id like to know what max size boat i should buy for my money, ive decided on a trawler minimum i could live on after seeing a few would be a 43 footer, ill be with my partner living aboard in caribbean, budget $2000 p month.

my experience is limited = 6 months working on a 30ft dive boat (skipper) just out and back in a day, day skipper licence, 2 gulf mexico crossings, 6 months refurb 120ft yacht. im a carpenter and v hands on.

budget max $100,000 usd

id really like a 47ft grand banks in wood, cant afford the grp.

as large as you would like, feelyou can handle, can afford, and can get insurance for

as simple as that

I had less experience than you when I got my first sailboat, a 39'.

wood? I feel you will spend all ur spare time doing repairs Look at marinetraders in that size for a reasonable price
