Looking for Gulfstream Crossing Buddy - 5/14/13

Hi. We have group of friends/relatives heading from Stuart, FL to Bahamas on Tuesday morning May 14, 2013.

Plan is to leave St. Lucie Inlet by about 8:30am heading to West End, GBI. Staying at Old Bahama Bay that evening.

Looking for a buddy boat, if anyone else is planning on crossing the stream that day. If you are, please let me know. We'd love some company!

We are going on a 29' Seaswirl Striper with twin Yamaha 225's, Furuno NAVnet VX2 with 64 nm radar, among other safety items.

Reservations for our 2+ week trip are set, so unless crossing weather becomes issue, we plan to leave the morning of 5/14/13.

I hope the weather works in your favor.

In a 29, I'd always be prepared for weather on the stream to toss my plans in the circular file. Schedules kill more boaters than anything except peeing over the transom while drunk.

I know...

Only thing more dangerous is trying to keep the ladyfolk satisfied for multi-week boat trip!

Latest directive: "No mahi blood on my new beanbag chairs!!" So, guess we're going after yellowfin.

If no one leaving from St. Lucie - and weather's good on 5/14 - we'll try hooking up with others who may be running from Jupiter or Ft. Pierce that day.
