As i just got home from a very long day of helping an older lady with an
insulation problem in her older house where she has been leaky heat out side her house in 14 degress
weather .. long day but well worth it .
So i arrived home to a very nice long list of questions and asnwers so i have to begin somewhere so i will start somehwere in the middle
So ,my first answer is .i have a very dry sense of humour as my father was born just outside of liverpool,England and he taught me well..i was not aware you were from oz.

learning which boat might suit my needs best ,when i finally get around to really laying down the cash.

Until a few weeks ago i had my heart set on a
formosa 50 as long as it had a smiley face ..some don't you know.
in the last two weeks i came to understand that in many cases i can buy a lovely Trumpy for about the same
price as a well found formaos 50 [ about $175,000] but the upkeep on the Trumphy will be considerably more than a plastic boat. I doubt there would be many other boats pulling into a big marina in
Miami or Tortola [ my normal hangout} that would might shine better than a 65-70 foot Trumphy in great condition.
#4 Until now,the only thing i have sailed is a sailboat ,i prefer monohulls in the 47-54 foot range so i can bring many friends whenever possible
Cheers to everyone who can contribute .i am still in search for the ulimate boat .It is starting to look that it could be a big old
power yacht ..but nothing is etched in stone until i place the cash on the table
love to hear from more of you
