Hurricane Haulout in South Florida

Any ideas on places at least 25 miles North of Key Largo Florida to haul out boats for named storms/hurricanes? Thanks!

"At least 25 miles N of Key Largo" could mean anything, anywhere at any distance.

If you can limit your search area, someone might be able to better guide you.

Strictly for insurance purposes. They need a named storm policy. As we just moved to the Fl Keys that is a condition of the insurance carrier. Thanks

I would look in Ft Pierce, Fl. Have left the boat there thru several hurricane seasons.
Any boat yard that removes the mast and straps your boat to the ground will probably be OK. Suggest you read your insurance policy. When I did, I found several paragraphs that where applicable to storage. Very interesting and helpful.
Call the insurance company for guidance. They should be extremely helpful

There are several marinas on the Miami River that will haul you out on a contact basis for named storms. It is not cheap but your insurance company will probably pay a large portion of the cost. Try: Hurricane Cove Marina

Dbaoter has the best idea for hauling out! Get out of Dodge, Ft. Pierce has Harbor Town which is up scale and, I think the best for storms is Riverside, plus several others. But in any event you have to have your plan solidified with the one you choose. I believe with Harbor Town you need some up front money.
