Grand Banks Laguna 33'

Just purchased a 33' Laguna w twin GMC toro turbo diesels. Upon motoring her to her new birth the port engine started to carbon up blowing alot of black smoke. The engine will not start now.
Anyone familiar with these motors? They are 275hp V8's.

Get a good diesel mechanic. It's cheaper in the long run.

I've heard of them years ago & they were old then never saw one. Be very careful of buying something that parts are no longer available for especially the marinazation parts. To late just read your post again & see that you already own them. How long has the boat sat before you bought it & what services did you preform before leaving with it? I'll 2nd the qualified diesel mechanic check it out.
