Going to View an Ex-Admiralty 80' Training Ship

im looking for a liveaboard and found this on ebay.co.uk item no 320501332681 im going to look next week before the auction. im hoping someone more experienced than myself can give me a few pointers to look out for.

is larch on oak hull any good ive read larch is a good water repellant but its 50yrs old.

Do you have lots of experience with wood, big diesels, electrical, and piloting something that big? Are you looking for something in which to sink hundreds of hours, perhaps just to keep her properly floating?

In the hands of an experienced shipwright, this may be an ideal liveaboard motor yacht. In the hands of someone like me, it would be a fast way to lose what money I have left.

It looks quite rough for the ask. The one Gord pointed out is in much better shape, and probably much cheaper in the end.
